SMGH AUXILIARY PROVIDES DONATION OF $36,000 TO THE FOUNDATION

The Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Auxiliary proudly presented the SMGH Foundation CEO, Susan McLean, with a cheque in the amount of $36,000.  The cheque presentation took place at the annual Auxiliary potluck event in the SMGH cafeteria on November 24th, 2014.

“We are, as always, so grateful for the contributions made to us by the SMGH Auxiliary,” says Susan McLean, SMGH Foundation CEO.  “Their hard work and dedication greatly assists in continuously improving patient care at SMGH.”

This donation was made towards the SMGH Auxiliary’s pledge of $1 million; this incredible pledge was made to the SMGH Foundation on February 23rd, 2009. 

“The Auxiliary is very proud of the volunteers that give of their time to help raise the funds to purchase equipment for the hospital,” says SMGH Auxiliary President, Pam Hillis.  “Thank you to all community members that help by purchasing items from the Gift Shop, Java Hut, and other fundraising events.”

With this recent donation, the Auxiliary has only $583,000 remaining in their pledge before it is paid off.
